Your home’s water gauge.

Jila is a smart device that fits onto your tank and tracks the water level throughout the day. The readings appear in our app, where you get alerts, estimates of how many days the water may still last, and suggestions of where to refill before it runs out.

Managing water without a gauge creates anxiety.

It’s like driving without a fuel gauge: you keep going, but never quite sure you’ll make it. The same happens at home with your tank. Without knowing the water level, it’s hard to predict how many days you still have, when or whether to refill, and when your pump is at risk of damage.

warning

Water runs out without an alert

You only notice late, when the pressure drops or the tap starts to sputter.

build

Your pump is at risk

With an empty tank, the pump starts drawing air and ends up damaged.

event_busy

Planning becomes hard

Without history, it’s hard to tell if the water will last 1 day, 3 days, or a week.

payments

You refill in a rush

By the time you notice, there’s little time to find a nearby tanker and you end up paying above the normal price.

See the level on the device. Understand everything in the app.

Jila turns the readings from your tank into signals that are easy to understand. The lights on the device give you a quick indication when you're near the tank. In the app, you see the details: level, history, alerts, autonomy estimates, and options to refill near you.

Visual signal on the device

The lights show the tank status so you can tell at a glance whether the level is normal, low, or empty.

Alerts before it's empty

You get alerts so you can act before the tank runs dry or before the pump is at risk.

Water Map

When you need water, you can list your reservoir on the map. Nearby trucks and sellers see the level, last update, and your phone number so they can call directly.

Questions we always get asked.

Straight answers, no jargon.

Do I need the sensor to use Jila?

expand_more

No. Without a sensor, you can register your reservoir in the app, update the level manually, and list it on the Water Map if you want. The device reads the tank automatically and helps you see history, consumption, and alerts without checking the tank by hand.

If I already check my tank from time to time, what changes with Jila?

expand_more

It changes how early you can react. Instead of only noticing when pressure drops or the tap starts failing, you see an estimate of days remaining and get an alert before the level becomes critical. That gives you time to plan and avoid calling a water truck in a rush.

How much does it cost?

expand_more

Pricing depends on your needs. Check our plans on this page or get in touch directly — we respond within 48 hours.

Who installs the sensor?

expand_more

Our team. Installation takes less than 30 minutes. For users outside the regions where we currently operate, we explain the process step by step and guide the installation remotely.

What if the device loses internet?

expand_more

The device communicates with Jila through the internet, and we take care of that connection. If the network fails, the device stores up to 24 hours of readings and uploads everything when the connection returns. That keeps the history complete when the interruption is temporary.

Does my phone need internet to receive alerts?

expand_more

To receive alerts in the app, your phone needs to be connected to the internet. For critical situations, you can enable SMS alerts, which have an additional cost.

Water from the grid does not arrive every day. Is the sensor still worth it?

expand_more

It is especially useful in those cases. When supply is irregular, what matters is knowing how long the water you already have will last. Jila helps you understand consumption, see history, and decide when you need to refill the tank.

What if there is no power or sun for several days?

expand_more

Jila has its own battery that lasts at least one week without power or sun, depending on how the device is powered. With a properly installed solar panel, we do not expect interruptions in normal use.

Are the readings accurate?

expand_more

Yes. The sensor is accurate to within hundreds of litres, depending on tank size. Precise enough to know exactly how many days of water you have left.

What type of tank works well with the sensor?

expand_more

Jila works with practically all reservoir types used today: plastic tanks, square tanks, underground tanks, and even water trucks. The most important limit is height: the current device measures up to 4 metres, and we have not yet encountered a common reservoir deeper than that. For width, the reservoir needs to be at least 1 metre wide so the ultrasonic sensor can take a reliable reading.

Do I have to wait for a checkup to know the device needs maintenance?

expand_more

Jila handles maintenance with you. We do a mandatory check every three months, included in the plans, to confirm that the installation, sensor, battery, and communication are still working properly. The device also sends status alerts when it detects signs of obstruction or another issue that could affect readings.

Does useful life change depending on where the device is installed?

expand_more

The expected useful life is about five years. Maintenance needs can vary by installation: in a place with a lot of dust or humidity, for example, the sensor may need attention sooner. If a wear component such as the battery needs replacement, we handle that as part of maintenance follow-up.

Does this replace the tank float valve?

expand_more

No. A float valve usually closes the water inlet when the tank is full. Jila is an additional device that goes inside the tank to measure the water level, show history, send alerts, and help you understand how many days the water may still last.

Do I need one sensor per tank?

expand_more

Yes, one per tank. But if you have multiple tanks connected by pipes and the water rises to the same level in all of them, one sensor is enough.

What if I don't have my phone nearby?

expand_more

The device has LED lights that project colour onto the wall — visible even in the dark. Red means critical level, blue means normal, and green means the tank is full. It updates in real time, so anyone in the house can see the tank status at a glance without opening the app.

How does the Water Map work?

expand_more

When you list your reservoir, nearby people and water trucks can see it on the map. The listing shows the water level, the last update, and your phone number for direct contact.

Do I need the device to appear on the map?

expand_more

No. You can list your reservoir without a device by updating the level manually in the app. If you have a device connected to Jila, the level and update time become automatic.

If I need water, what do I do?

expand_more

List your reservoir on the Water Map. Nearby trucks and sellers can see that you may need a refill, check your phone number, and call directly. The conversation and arrangement happen outside the app.

Who can see my phone number?

expand_more

While your reservoir is listed, your phone number is visible to people and trucks in your area. List only when you want to be contacted, and remove the listing when you no longer need to appear.

How does someone know if the level is up to date?

expand_more

Every listed reservoir shows its last update. With a connected device, Jila updates automatically. Without a device, the map shows the time of your latest manual update.

I have a water truck. How does this help if contacts already come by phone or WhatsApp?

expand_more

Jila helps you find who is available for contact before the call happens. On the Water Map, you can see nearby listed reservoirs, each level, the last update, and the phone number to call directly.

How do I find households that need water?

expand_more

Open the Water Map and look for listed reservoirs in your area. Everyone who appears on the map chose to be visible; if the level is low or was updated recently, you can call and confirm whether they need a refill.

Can I trust the level shown on the map?

expand_more

The reading comes with context. If the reservoir has a connected device, the level updates automatically. If it is manual, the app shows the last update time so you know whether it is worth confirming by phone.

What if the truck has leftover water at the end of the day?

expand_more

You can check the Water Map for listed reservoirs near your route. Instead of driving around aimlessly, call the visible contact directly and confirm whether they need water.

If I manage several tanks or locations, how do I know where the problem is?

expand_more

With several tanks or locations, Jila helps you see levels, alerts, and history in one dashboard. That makes it easier to understand whether the issue is unusually high consumption, a supply failure, one specific tank, or a delayed refill.

Can I share access to my tank?

expand_more

Yes. You can invite others to see your tank in the app. You decide whether they can only view or also change settings and manage the Water Map listing.

Is my data kept private and not shared with third parties?

expand_more

Yes. Your data is private and is not shared with third parties.

I need help. How do I reach you?

expand_more

Via WhatsApp. Our support team replies directly there.
